Welcome to Elmesthorpe Parish Council
Elmesthorpe is a village situated between Earl Shilton and Stoney Stanton along the B.581 but also meets the border with Hinckley on Burbage Common Road. However, it is a Parish that lies within the boundaries of Blaby District Council.
There are approximately 220 dwellings of various sizes and ages in the Village and some 420 residents on the Electoral Register.
The oldest building in Elmesthorpe forms part of the Parish Church of St. Mary, which is believed to have given shelter to some of Richard III's troops both before and after the Battle of Bosworth Field. Elsewhere in the Village is evidence of Roman occupation.
There is a public House called The Wentworth Arms and also a Hotel named Badgers Mount.
